at approximately 22:00 hours 38 along with station 47 (Fallowfield Twp) were dispatched the the area of the 25 mile marker on interstate 70 east for a tractor trailer over a hill with entrapment and possibly on fire. Shortly after units went enroute an update was given confirming that the driver was still inside the vehicle, however there was no fire. Chief 47 arrived on scene and advised both engine 38-1 and rescue 47 to setup their genesis hydraulic tools. 38 took the passenger side and 47 set their tools up on the driver side. Captain38 (T. Pysh) and Captain 38-2 (R. Nuccetelli) removed the passenger side stack and door. At this point the driver was able to free himself from the truck and was assisted back up the hill to Medic 1103 (Bentworth Ambulance). All crews did an excellent job and extrication took approximately 35 minutes. It was determined by Pa State Police and Penn Dot officials that it would be best to leave the vehicle and remove in the next morning.
